Terms of Use & Disclaimer

Plain-English rules for using this site, and the limits of what a browser-based test can tell you.

Short answer: The tests and articles on this site are free, general information. Results are estimates, not a guarantee of how your calls will sound, and nothing here replaces an on-site inspection by a qualified technician. Effective November 5, 2026.

By using CallQualityTest.com (the "site"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. CallQualityTest.com is owned and operated by Names For Sale LLC. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Names For Sale LLC.

1. What the test results are — and aren't

  • Estimates. Every result is a measurement taken at one moment, from one device, to public test servers. Results change with time of day, Wi-Fi, other traffic, the device, the browser and the server used.
  • Not your carrier's network. The tests measure to the nearest public internet edge server (operated by Cloudflare, with Google as a fallback), not to your VoIP provider, phone company or cellular carrier. Your real call path is longer and can perform differently.
  • Not real phone calls. Browsers cannot send the UDP voice packets phones use, so latency, jitter and loss are measured with small HTTPS requests. The Office Call Capacity Test sends web traffic at the same bit rate as phone calls; it does not place calls.
  • MOS and R-factor are calculated with a simplified version of the ITU-T G.107 E-model. They are estimates, not listening tests.
  • Grades are guidance. "Good," "Fair" and "Poor" lines are this site's thresholds, built from published standards and common industry practice. Your provider may use different thresholds.
  • Signal-strength grades (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR) are common field rules of thumb. No single official scale exists.

2. Information, not professional advice

Articles, FAQs and troubleshooting steps are general information for typical networks and phones. They are not a diagnosis of your specific system, and they are not legal, financial or safety advice. Phone menus, settings paths and codes vary by manufacturer, carrier and software version and may change after publication. Before changing router, firewall or phone system settings at a business, make sure you are authorized to do so and have a way to undo the change. For work on your system, contact a qualified technician.

3. Data use and charges

Speed, bufferbloat, video and office capacity tests transfer real data. On a fast connection a single test can use from tens to several hundred megabytes. On a cellular plan or metered connection this counts against your data allowance and may cause charges. You are responsible for any data charges from your provider.

4. Emergency calls

Nothing on this site tests or guarantees 911 or emergency calling. Wi-Fi Calling and VoIP 911 depend on the emergency address registered with your provider. Keep it up to date.

5. No warranty

The site, tests and content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site or the third-party test servers will be available, error-free or free of harmful components, or that any information is current. We may change or remove tests and content at any time.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Names For Sale LLC and Infotel Systems are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, missed calls, downtime, data charges or equipment changes, arising from your use of the site, the test results or the information on it, even if advised of the possibility. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site — which is zero.

7. Third-party services and links

The tests rely on services run by others (see the Privacy Policy for the list). Links to other websites — including manufacturers, carriers, standards bodies, TestCall.com and Infotel Systems — are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing or practices. Prices quoted from other sites (for example TestCall.com) are as listed on the date shown and may change; the provider's own site is the authority.

8. Trademarks

Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google, Google Meet, Google Voice, Android, Pixel, Apple, iPhone, FaceTime, Samsung, Galaxy, Cloudflare and other product and company names are trademarks of their respective owners. They are used only to identify products and services. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by them unless stated.

9. Acceptable use

Use the tests for their intended purpose. Don't automate or script requests to the tests, overload the test servers, attempt to break or reverse-engineer the site, or use it to test networks you have no right to test. The 804-222-1111 test line on TestCall.com is for people only; automated calls are not allowed.

10. Contact form and service

Sending the contact form is a request to be contacted; it doesn't create a service agreement. Any work is quoted and agreed separately with Infotel Systems.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms: use the contact form or call 804-222-8009.
